符文季赛是发生在每个赛季末尾的官方赛事，所以大约是每2个月举行一次。在每个赛季末，美国、亚洲、欧洲和东南亚这四个地区的服务器中，都会有1024名符合参赛资格的玩家为了荣耀与现金奖而战，其中700名来自排位天梯前700名玩家，324名来自率先在武斗场完成7胜的玩家。
每次符文季赛都有两个阶段，也就是公开赛和季后赛。公开赛会进行5轮瑞士制BO3比赛，以取出前32名（1024 → 512 → 256 → 128 → 64 → 32）。一周后，胜出玩家便能挺进季后赛，进行单淘汰赛。脱颖而出者将获得季赛冠军殊荣，并且赢得大奖。
